        This two-day focused sales program will provide a refresher on products and services with an emphasis on electronic, card-based and trending products. We will review current industry pricing trends, packaging products, and tactics to differentiate commodity products. Participants will discuss the development of a sales strategy that includes segmentation by client sales size and industry type as a means to grow Treasury Management relationships and business deposits for their respective organizations. We will expand the participants' sales tool kit to grow existing relationships and generate new ones. Attendees will be expected to participate in a variety of inter-active exercises in small groups. The sessions are geared towards all bank business development and Treasury Management sales staff including, branch managers, commercial lenders, business development officers, and others who are responsible for new business client growth and relationship expansion. The program will teach participants how to determine the maximum line of credit appropriate for a borrower and the factors which will determine when it is appropriate to convert revolving debt to amortizing debt.         Analyzing Personal Financial Statements & Tax Returns >

        One of the more challenging aspects of lending is analyzing personal financial statements and tax returns. Assessing the borrower’s ability to convert assets to cash to pay short-term debt or honor a guaranty often requires significant adjustments to the borrower’s reported net worth. Adjusted gross income on Form 1040 bears no relationship at all to cash available to pay personal living expenses and debt service. To determine cash available, the lender must construct a personal cash flow using information contained in the personal financial statement and schedules of the tax return. Lenders recognize that the business and personal financial affairs of small business borrowers are closely intertwined necessitating the integration of business and personal cash flow to determine global cash flow.
